Overview of Parkwoods Campus

Park Woods Shoghi is set on a ridge and spread over 20 acres of unspoilt nature. The accommodation, public and recreational areas are set in 5 acres. 18 kms before Shimla and 2.7 kms off the highway, a picturesque forest drive takes one to Parkwoods Hill Resort Shoghi.

The property has 24 rooms comprising of 14 cottages and 10 swiss tents with all modern facilities, attached washrooms, 24 hours electricity and water, multicuisine restaurant. Open areas for activities, an adventure obstacle course, natural rock faces for rock climbing and rappelling, surrounding forests for navigational and survival treks. A large fully equipped conference hall is available for indoor sessions.

Parkwoods is operational round the year and has permanent staff on its rolls, trained to cater to large groups. It is a highly suitable destination resort for outbound team building, team bonding, employee engagement and leadership training programs.

at Parkwoods. Their hospitality beats any good hotel hands down. There are plenty of activities with well-behaved and trained instructors. Their safety gears were of high quality too. The night trek was something which I am going to cherish throughout my life.


Accommodation is in comfortable deluxe cottages and deluxe swiss tents with private patios, spacious bedrooms with kingsize beds, electricity, fans, heaters and attached washrooms with 24 hours running hot / cold water and western style facilities. Parkwoods Shoghi has a total inventory of 14 Deluxe Cottages and 10 Swiss Tents. Each is a standalone unit with one bedroom and an attached washroom. The total inventory of 24 rooms can accommodate 48 people on double occupancy and 72 people on triple sharing with an extra bed in each room.


At Parkwoods Hill Resort, Shoghi lip-smacking preparations pamper the palate while the ambience contributes to invigorated appetites. Cuisines: The resort has options for Indian, Mughlai, Chinese, Continental and Himachali meals with pastas tossed up at times. Dining Areas: Indoor multi-cuisine restaurant, open air cafe', two machaans with valley views, evening bonfire and barbeques under the pine trees.

Adventure Activities

Parkwoods Shoghi offers excellent infrastructure for many adventure activities within the verdant Parkwood Campus: Rappelling, rock climbing, valley crossing.
Activities on the Obstacle Course - Burma bridge, tree bridge, commando net, ropewalk, catwalk, spider web, tyre web.
Also highly engaging forest hikes and night treks.

Depending upon the participants predisposition, setup is available for a wide array of team activities like Trust Fall, Minefield, Australian Walk, Hangman, Swamp Crossing, Survival on the Stretcher, Swinging Log, Blindfold Tent Pitching.

335 kms from New Delhi / 7 hours.
18 kms before Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) / 1/2 hour.
70 kms from Kalka / 2 hours.
100 kms from Chandigarh / 3 hours.

By Road: 7 hours from Delhi via Sonepat, Karnal, Panchkula, Dharampur, Solan, Kandaghat.
By Rail: Morning and overnight trains to Kalka which is 70 kms from Parkwoods Shoghi.
Thereafter Shoghi is 2 hours by road.
Cabs can be pre-booked from Kalka Railway Station.
By Air:
1) Chandigarh is the nearest regular airport.
2) Alliance Air (Air India) flights also operate from Delhi to Shimla (Jubbarhatti, 22 kms from Shimla and 40 kms from Shoghi) under UDAN Scheme. The airline has deployed its 42 seater ATR plane in this sector. This information is as on 27th April, 2017.
